About CEUs
One continuing education credit (CEU) represents 10 hours of education provided either in a training series format, an integrated experience at a conference, or a distance learning experience following a prescribed curriculum. The Massachusetts Association for the Education of Young Children is the nation's first professional association to approve early childhood related courses and to grant CEU certificates to individuals who complete approved courses or conferences. MassAEYC is approved by the Department of Early Education and Care to issue these certificates and has been doing so for over 10 years. CEU approval is a comprehensive process that requires a detailed application, review by a group of well qualified early childhood professional, and a follow-up evaluation of the course presentation.
